Today we had the pleasure of having the commanding officer of the Air Wing 106, National Guard.
Col. Michael Canders gave an overview of the unit that works closely with US Coast Guard as well as local police. The unit is available for various search and rescue missions as well as it’s primary purpose of national security. It is reassuring that this organization is here for our safety. The colonel answered many questions after his prepared remarks and even stayed longer to speak to people on an individual basis.
