Phil Boyle is currently the Suffolk OTB President and CEO
Before being named President & CEO of Suffolk Regional OTB, Phil Boyle served for 26 years as a Member of the New York State Legislature —16 years as a state assemblymember and ten years as a state senator. Prior to his tenure in Albany, Phil served as a senior congressional staff person in Washington, D.C. for five years, including time as Chief of Staff for former Long Island Congressman Rick Lazio.
From 2014 through 2018, Phil served as Chairman of the State Senate Committee on Commerce, Economic Development, & Small Business. As Chair, Phil worked to ensure that the voice of business was being heard in Albany and was committed to finding ways to make New York more business-friendly.
During his tenure as a state legislator, Phil was a leader on such diverse issues as advancing the use of forensic crimefighting technologies; combatting the heroin and opioid epidemics; and protecting animals from abuse, among many others.
Phil earned his undergraduate degree in political science from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill; his law degree from Albany Law School of Union University; and his master’s degree in public administration from the State University of New York at Albany.
