Bender, considered by many to be an industrial marketing guru, the Founder and President of The R.B. Bender Group has 50 years of experience in industrial marketing and sales, with an extensive knowledge of machinery, materials, and manufacturing techniques. He was employed by Borg-Warner & Sumitomo Heavy Industries and has been a vendor of innovative industrial products to General Motors, Ford, Bethlehem Steel, U.S. Steel, Lever Brothers, National Grid, Amtrak, New York City Department of Environmental Protection, Jet Blue Airways, Long Island Railroad et al. He is known for his creative problem solving at all corporate levels, including executive, engineering, maintenance, and purchasing. His problem solving has saved millions for the companies he worked with. Has advanced degrees from Drexel University, Hofstra University, and Morse Institute of Technology. President of The Association for Facilities Engineering (AFE) and had been part of the National Board of Directors since 2017, as well as New York and Long Island Chapter since 2007. A member of LIMBA since 2006, director on the LIMBA Board since 2020. Bender sits on the Board of Directors of the Deer Park Chamber of Commerce. Currently involved in water quality issues around the USA.
