Long Island Metro Business Action (LIMBA) was established 33 years ago by Paul Townsend, editor and founder of Long Island Business News. With his early recruitment of several civic minded leaders and activists, LIMBA has had an effect on Long Island issues that is out of proportion to its size. LIMBA today continues the commitment of thoughtful commentary on topics of importance to the general public.

Since 1968, LIMBA has been Long Island’s catalyst for transportation and economic improvement, sponsoring weekly breakfast forums featuring Long Island business activists and government officials, as well as providing leadership in advancing new projects.
