The Center for Cost Effective Government is committed toward the goal of bringing about an end to burdensome state and federal mandates that crush local governments and the business community.

State laws requiring mandatory arbitration, the Triborough doctrine (which continues all benefits and step increases of a contract even after it has expired), over-reaching workers compensation rules and unsustainable pension systems have caused property taxes to soar and many businesses to fold.

The Center will promote the elimination and/or consolidation of superfluous taxing districts, public/private partnerships, higher academic standards, purchasing consortiums, and government reform by petitioning for impartial panels to redraw electoral district lines.
